Distance Driver
Distance Drivers have been developed for maximum throw distance with appropriate throw speed. They are recognizable by their flat shape. In our shop all discs with a speed value of 9 to 15 fall under this category.
These discs are especially designed for experienced players with a high throw speed. These can then reach particularly high throw distances.
Unfortunately, even beginners often resort to these discs, as it is often assumed to be able to throw longer distances. The vast majority of newcomers to disc golf reach shorter throw distances with Distance Drivers, whereby the disc crashes to the left with right-handers in the backhand throw (with left-handers to the right).
If you recognize this phenomenon, you should urgently resort to slower discs e. g. Fairway Driver.
